We are excited to kick off the spring season with an announcement of some changes that will make the Shimanami Kaido even more accessible to cyclists (and non cyclists) of all fitness levels.

From July 1, our fleet battery-assisted bikes and battery-assisted bikes with child seats will be available for multi-day rental!

Visitors will also be able to drop off our sports-type E-bikes, although still only available for one-day rental, at any of the ten Shimanami Japan cycle terminals along the route.


As we adjust the rental cycle booking system to take account of the new services, reservations from July 1 have been temporarily suspended. Normal service is expected to resume in mid-April.
